The rise of coupe-style electric SUVs has reshaped the EV market. These vehicles combine crossover practicality with a more sloping, sporty roofline—sometimes at the expense of a bit of rear headroom or cargo space. Still, manufacturers continue to expand this category, offering more performance, range, and design variety than ever.

Below is a rewritten overview of some of the most notable electric coupe SUVs currently available.

Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron

Audi’s compact electric SUV received a sleeker Sportback version as part of the growing trend toward coupe-inspired crossovers.

It is offered in several configurations, including rear-wheel-drive and quattro all-wheel-drive variants, paired with either a smaller or larger battery pack. Output ranges from around 201 hp up to 335 hp, with driving range figures reaching roughly 257 to 351 miles depending on specification.

Compared with the standard Q4 e-tron, the Sportback prioritizes style over maximum practicality, leading to slightly reduced rear space and cargo capacity. Pricing is also marginally higher.

Škoda Enyaq Coupe iV

The Enyaq Coupe builds on the strong reputation of the standard Enyaq, which is known for practicality and value.

It offers single-motor rear-wheel-drive versions as well as dual-motor all-wheel-drive setups, with battery capacity around 77 kWh. Power outputs vary from about 201 hp to nearly 300 hp in the sportier vRS version.

The vRS model also brings quicker acceleration, a sportier suspension setup, and visual upgrades such as a lower stance and body enhancements. Despite its coupe styling, it still maintains strong range and family usability.

Volkswagen ID.5

The ID.5 is closely related to the ID.4, sharing the same platform but featuring a more sloped rear design.

Entry models deliver modest power and range, while higher trims use larger battery packs with more powerful rear motors. Performance-oriented GTX versions add dual motors and increased horsepower, with range figures varying depending on configuration.

While mechanically similar to its siblings, the ID.5 focuses more on aerodynamic styling and a slightly more premium appearance.

Volvo EC40

Previously known as the C40 Recharge, the EC40 is Volvo’s coupe-styled electric SUV built on the same platform as the EX40.

It comes with multiple powertrain options, ranging from single-motor setups to dual-motor versions with over 400 hp. Battery sizes differ depending on configuration, with range figures reaching up to around 350+ miles in efficient variants.

Inside, it features Volvo’s clean design language and a Google-based infotainment system. The sloping rear roofline slightly reduces cargo practicality compared to its boxier sibling.

Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron

A larger, more premium coupe SUV from Audi, the Q6 Sportback e-tron sits above the Q4 in size and performance.

It offers multiple battery and motor combinations, including rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor setups, with output ranging from roughly 280 hp to nearly 400 hp. Depending on configuration, range can approach or exceed 390–400 miles.

Despite its size and capability, it carries a premium price tag, positioning it as a more upscale option within Audi’s electric lineup.

Genesis GV60

The GV60 is Genesis’ dedicated compact electric SUV, sharing its platform with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, but featuring a more distinctive coupe-like design.

It is available in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive formats, with power outputs ranging from the low 200 hp range up to nearly 500 hp in high-performance variants. Range varies between roughly 290 and 320 miles depending on specification.

It also includes unique features such as performance driving modes, including drift-oriented settings, emphasizing its sporty character.

Nissan Ariya

The Ariya represents Nissan’s entry into the electric coupe crossover segment, combining a smooth design with practical SUV proportions.

It is offered in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions, with different battery sizes providing a wide range of power and driving distances—from compact efficiency-focused models to high-performance AWD variants.

Its design is modern and minimalistic, and it aims to balance comfort, usability, and electric efficiency.

Cupra Tavascan

The Tavascan is Cupra’s bold electric SUV coupe, sharing its platform with Volkswagen Group EVs.

It offers rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor configurations, with power outputs reaching over 300 hp and performance-oriented variants capable of 0–62 mph in the mid-5-second range. Range sits in the mid-300-mile area depending on setup.

Sporty tuning, aggressive styling, and performance-focused suspension give it a more dynamic character than many of its platform siblings.

Polestar 4

The Polestar 4 stands out as one of the most unconventional coupe SUVs, most notably for eliminating the traditional rear window.

Instead of rear glass, it uses a camera-based digital rear-view system to maximize cabin space and headroom. Powertrains include a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version with strong range and a high-performance dual-motor variant producing over 500 hp.

Depending on configuration, range can exceed 360–380 miles, placing it among the more capable long-distance EVs in its class.

Smart #3

The Smart #3 is a compact electric coupe SUV built on a Geely-developed platform, designed as a larger and more practical follow-up to the Smart #1.

It is available in several trims, including rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions, with power outputs ranging from roughly 260 hp to over 400 hp in performance variants. Battery options provide ranges from just over 200 miles to nearly 280+ miles.

Despite its compact footprint, it prioritizes interior space efficiency and modern tech features.

Summary

Electric coupe SUVs continue to grow in popularity, blending stylish design with everyday practicality. While they may sacrifice a bit of rear visibility or cargo space compared to traditional SUVs, they often make up for it with improved aerodynamics, strong performance options, and cutting-edge EV technology.
